The Founder/CEO

Leslie Ellis is the founder and CEO of Coaster Highlightz. Growing up in the metro Atlanta area with Six Flags Over Georgia just around the corner, theme park trips were a staple of every summer. His fascination with roller coasters started early and never faded. That passion ultimately inspired him to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering—with hopes of one day designing coasters himself.

Today, while Leslie works happily as an engineer in a different field, Coaster Highlightz serves as the perfect creative outlet—a blend of his professional design skills and lifelong love for roller coasters.

The CEO does all the CAD design work, assembly testing, quality assurance, R&D, and shipping for every single Coaster Highlightz piece! All the small details like support interactions, crosstie placement, rail and spine placements aren't just auto generated. They have to be designed. The process involves a custom workflow (that constantly gets fine tuned) involving some custom coding, data manipulation, and a LOT of CAD. A lot of background work is involved with these pieces, but the work put in is always worth it seeing the final product in someone's home!
