Product Offerings & Scale

Do you sell the STL files of your models?

- No, the STL files are not for sale. Our focus is on delivering a tangible luxury product for all enthusiasts regardless of access to printers and the like.

Do you offer full layouts?

- No. Coaster Highlightz focuses on the 'highlight' moment of a ride and offers it in a grand, yet practical footprint as a luxury decor piece. Most full layouts would not be practical decor pieces at the scale Coaster Highlightz pieces are made at (1:100). The time required, cost for all the material, and shipping costs would also make it impractical.

Can you make the pieces smaller?

- All pieces, unless otherwise specified, are designed at 1:100 scale and that cannot be adjusted. Extreme large coasters (gigas, stratas) may be designed at 1:200 scale to be practical. In such cases where a piece has to be designed smaller, some detail will be lost in the crossties and the track will take on a more solid box or triangular shape (depending on the original shape of the track). This is necessary because as you go smaller, the finer details will just break off.

-- Fun fact: The 'Long Live The King' piece was scaled down 1:200. You can view the detail level in the track for reference.

Where are the RMCs and GCIs?

- At this time, wood structures are not being offered by Coaster Highlightz. The aim is to deliver a consistent product each time. That would be a challenge with the dense and complex lattice structures found in wooden and hybrid rides. Additionally, ease of assembly for the average consumer has to be considered. But I hear the requests trust me! Stay tuned!

Can I get a model in a different color?

- Yes! Several of our pieces already have several color offerings to represent a different ride that has the same element. Examples include:

    • 'The Jetpack' coming in an Afterburn color scheme or a Montu Color Scheme
    • 'The Gorgon' coming in original Medusa, new Medusa, Bizarro, or Scream color scheme
    • 'The Ursa Major' coming in all black (track & supports) or Great Bear color scheme

- - If there is another piece that doesn’t offer a different color in the purchase options, we can still customize the color. Simply place the order and reach out to coasterhighlightz@gmail.com with your order detail and specify to color you want for the track, supports, and base. You may do only ONE color for each of those three sections (for example B&M dual color track is not supported).

Can I paint the models myself?

- Yes! If you wanted to add some extra detail (ie: B&M dual color track) you can hand paint or even spray paint the pieces. Sand the pieces down where you intend to paint for the best end result. 'The Treble Clef' is the only product that you can get the bottom of the track painted (for an additional fee). Anything else will need to be DIY.
